Went to my first club snap outing to chinatown, except for one of the member who went with me, apparently I did not know anyone else and ended up shooting alone. well, enough said.. heres the photographs

Weekend happenings

This weekend is pretty much the same, not very exciting, only a couple of shots from a temple. Hope to visit more exotic places before I enter the army. In this series, all shots are taken at f1.4 manual focus.

Just a random shot..

Happened to had a chance to taste this beautiful stuff over the weekend, 10 year old Port wine from CockBurn, Portugal. Very smooth texture, 20% alcoholic content but it doesn't feels that way due to its sweet taste.

Lion Dance Performance ( Picture Intensive)

Early in the morning, I was woken up by the sounds of gonks and clashes. Changed my clothes, grabbed my  camera and rushed down to have a look at what was going on. There was a lion dance troop performance in my condo, so happily I went snapping away.. All photos taken at 50mm f1.4 manual focus. Enjoy!

1 year anniversary with ("v") Some random shots

Went to have a nice dinner, and took a short work with ("v") at bugis, took a couple of random shots.

Took a tea pot at a japanese restaurant, and converted it to greyscale and adding a slight tint.

A new toy :)

Bought a really mint condition SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.4 from a nice gentlemen for $220 (2nd hand) Was a really nice person, drove down from town to tampines mall starbucks for the deal. Was surprised that he was shooting with film camera, and without any metering, he manaually adjusted exposure in any light conditions. I take my hats off him :D. Heres the pic of the lens on my k-7:

Its lighter and smaller den my chinon 55mm f1.4... you must be eager to find out how this lens performs rite? So here it is took some random shots with it..

F1.4 1/1000 ISO 200 to freeze the spinning windmill.. love the amazing bokeh, click on  it to view the full size image and fall in love with its bokeh..

F1.4 1/400 ISO200 Click on it to see the bokeh effect on the plants. Detail of the cat is surprisingly sharp wide open.

One of my favourite shots, nice bokeh and nice colours produced...

The pentax 50mm f1.4 had to be one of my current favourite lens that I will bring everywhere I go. Performance is consistent, and image quality is excellent wide open. No regrets. Anyway, my Chinon F1.4 is available for sales at $130 do drop me a msg before its gone =)

Happy Chinese New Year to all, hope everyone enjoyed their red packets and great food. Took alot of shots during CNY, but will only upload afew of them, please enjoy.

This series is took using the Chinon 55mm F1.4 at manual focus. All the shots are taken wide open at F1.4 ISO200 with different shutter speed

Opps, this last pic is took using the vivitar 105mm F2.5 macro lens, saw it crawling on my house wall, so i snapped it. A pity I took it in Jpeg and not raw :( and dun worry its really tiny in real life l0ls
